Our client was stopped at an intersection at the Country Club Plaza Shopping District in Kansas City, Missouri, when her vehicle was rear-ended by another driver. Our client’s head hit the steering wheel of her vehicle on impact.
She drove her vehicle from the scene to the emergency room after noticing symptoms of a head injury, including a headache, dizziness, confusion, disorientation, difficulty thinking and memory problems. She underwent a CT-scan and testing and was diagnosed with a concussion without loss of consciousness, a mild form of traumatic brain injury.
After our client completed physical and occupational therapy, we submitted a demand package with detailed information regarding traumatic brain injury (TBI), and the case was settled for policy limits.
