Abby’s Journey: From Healthcare to the Courtroom
Abby’s path to becoming a Litigation Paralegal was shaped by passion, experience, and a desire to help others. Before entering the legal world, she studied nursing and worked in patient care, drawn to professions where she could make a difference. After starting her family, she shifted focus to raising her children but never lost sight of her ambition. Intrigued by law and its power to change lives, Abby earned her Paralegal Studies degree from Central Texas College, launching a new chapter in her career.
A Passion for Advocacy
With over 20 years of experience, Abby specializes in complex personal injury and medical cases. Her nursing background gives her a unique edge—she understands her clients’ injuries, treatments, and long-term challenges. This expertise helps her build strong cases while offering clients the compassion they need during difficult times. Her commitment to advocacy began during her time working in the Judge’s office in the military, where she gained firsthand insight into the legal system and developed a deep respect for justice and service. At Kevin McManus Law, Abby goes beyond trial preparation, guiding clients through the legal process, answering questions, and ensuring they feel supported.
Finding the Right Fit
Abby has worked in both large and small law firms but thrives in the close-knit environment of Kevin McManus Law, where teamwork and mentorship are valued. She enjoys sharing her litigation knowledge with colleagues, helping them develop skills that will serve them throughout their careers.
Life Outside the Office
Outside work, Abby embraces life’s adventures. She loves spontaneous travel, recently exploring New York City with no plans, letting the city guide her. She also enjoys thrifting, giving forgotten items new life, and helps at a local candle-making boutique. But at the heart of it all is family—she treasures every moment spent with her loved ones.
A Mindset for Growth
Abby lives by the mantra: “Don’t fear failure. Fear being in the same place next year as you are today.” Her journey—from healthcare to law—reflects her belief in growth, transformation, and the power of taking that first step.
