Kaitlin Hamilton: A Passionate Advocate for Those Facing Life’s Toughest Challenges
As a Personal Injury Attorney at Kevin McManus Law, Kaitlin Hamilton represents clients through both pre-litigation and litigation, helping them navigate the legal process after life-changing injuries and losses. She is driven by a genuine passion for advocating on behalf of people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives, combining fierce advocacy with compassion and understanding.
From the beginning of her legal journey, Kaitlin knew she was drawn to plaintiff personal injury law. Through undergraduate internships and legal experiences focused on protecting the rights of vulnerable individuals, she discovered the profound impact attorneys can have on the lives of those facing hardship. What she loves most about personal injury law is the balance it requires—being a strong, determined advocate while also providing empathy and support to clients who need someone in their corner.
Before joining Kevin McManus Law, Kaitlin spent nearly four years at a high-volume plaintiff personal injury firm, where she interned throughout law school and later joined as an attorney after passing the bar in 2024. That experience provided invaluable exposure to every stage of a personal injury case and helped her develop the skills necessary to effectively advocate for injured clients. As she looked toward the next phase of her career, she sought an opportunity to expand both her pre-litigation and litigation experience, leading her to a firm whose values, culture, and commitment to growth aligned with her own.
Her legal experiences also include internships with the Paul E. Wilson Project for Innocence & Post-Conviction Remedies at the University of Kansas School of Law, where she helped challenge wrongful convictions and support claims of actual innocence, as well as Equal Justice Under Law, where she conducted legal research focused on reducing wealth-based inequality within the criminal justice system.
Creativity, Community, and Continuous Growth
Outside of the office, Kaitlin enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and beloved cat. She loves exploring local thrift stores, attending hot yoga classes, and expressing her creativity through art. An accomplished artist, she operates an Etsy shop where she sells prints of her original work and creates custom commissions for clients.
Kaitlin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in Business from University of Kansas, followed by her Juris Doctor from University of Kansas School of Law. During law school, she was recognized as a Shook, Hardy & Bacon Scholar, served as a Dean’s Fellow, mentoring first-year law students, and represented her classmates as an American Bar Association Class Representative. She is licensed to practice law in both Kansas and Missouri.
Her favorite quote comes from Elle Woods:
“You must always have faith in people. And most importantly, you must always have faith in yourself.”
That belief guides her approach to both her personal life and her legal practice—trusting in others, advocating fiercely for her clients, and never underestimating the power of perseverance.
Kaitlin brings intelligence, determination, creativity, and compassion to every case she handles, making her a valued advocate for clients and an important member of the Kevin McManus Law team.
