Kaira Izaguirre: A Driven Legal Assistant with a Passion for Growth and Service
Kaira Izaguirre serves as a Legal Assistant at Kevin McManus Law, where she supports the legal team with diligence, curiosity, and a strong commitment to helping others. She values the firm’s collaborative, team-oriented environment—one that encourages open communication, efficiency, and meaningful professional relationships that go beyond surface-level interactions.
Kaira’s journey to the firm is rooted in both hands-on experience and intentional growth. While attending Pittsburg State University, she worked as a legal assistant in workers’ compensation, an experience that reinforced her desire to advocate for others and solidified her long-term goal of pursuing law school. Before taking that next step, Kaira knew she wanted to relocate to Kansas City, and her background in workers’ compensation—combined with her bilingual skills—has been a strong asset in supporting both her professional development and the clients she serves.
Kaira earned her Bachelor’s degree from Pittsburg State University, ultimately majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Criminology. Her academic path was intentional and exploratory—after starting in sociology and education, she realized she was drawn to something more fast-paced and impactful. Her fascination with human behavior and decision-making led her to criminal justice, a field she quickly came to love. During her final two years, she interned with the Pittsburg Police Department and Topeka Police Department, gaining exposure to high-pressure, real-world environments that sharpened her analytical skills and sense of purpose.
Curiosity, Balance, and a Love of Learning
Outside of work, Kaira enjoys safe adventures, learning how to cook and bake, and spending quality time with friends and family. She has a natural curiosity and loves educating herself on new topics that spark her interest.
Kaira lives by two guiding ideas:
“Education is one thing no one can take away from you,” and “Once a gorilla, always a gorilla.”
Together, they reflect her belief in lifelong learning, resilience, and staying true to who you are—values she brings with her into every aspect of her work.
