Several hundred children and their parents enjoyed Santa's Wonderland in South Kansas City this year. With the support of the City's Parks & Recreation Department, Kevin McManus and several public officials and community organizations helped organize and put on the annual event.
Santa's Wonderland is a unique experience that gives neighborhood children the opportunity to meet and talk to Santa, ride a horse-drawn sleigh, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, and receive toys and prizes.
This year the event was sponsored by Kevin McManus and his council colleague, Scott Taylor, Former Councilman John Sharp, State Representative DaRon McGee, Kansas City Parks & Recreation, Ruskin Hills Homes Association, South Kansas City Alliance, Community Assistance Council and Crow's Coffee.
